We stock Pointe Shoes from:

Comfort, Quiet and Durability. Gaynor Minden pointe shoes combine thoughtful design, expert American hand craftsmanship, and innovative modern materials.

Buoyant Support. Consistent Support. Gaynor Minden uses high quality elastomerics for its unbreakable shanks and boxes, not the antiquated paste and cardboard construction that makes other pointe shoes quickly deteriorate while tormenting the feet. The flexibility and support that you feel in the new shoe will remain the same throughout its long life. Gaynor Mindens have tremendous durability without being hard or clunky. The shoes last 3 to 6 times as long as most other brands.

The Look of Effortless Grace. Gaynor Minden knows that dancers are athletes as well as artists. Your talented feet deserve a little cushioning, especially if you dance on a hard floor. And it's not just for comfort - many dance injuries are caused by trauma, so Gaynor Minden is attempting to lessen the impact of landing from jumps. This is the first pointe shoe with shock absorption. Its resilient, patented construction helps you to jump, then provides a soft, silent, easy landing.

Ready To Go. Gaynor Minden shoes are ready to go. No tedious, painful breaking-in required. No more stomping or bashing your shoes. These are soft and flexible when new. You never cut or break Gaynor Minden shanks. They're arched, just like your feet.

Professional and Beginner. The wide selection of stiffnesses and styles accommodates both the professional and the beginner. Shanks and boxes range from feather-soft and pliable to firm and extra-supportive.

BMORPH

B-Morphe

Introducing the revolutionary new TMT technology. Developed by Bloch in conjunction with Elite Dancers from around the world the BMorph is molded to perfection by the individual dancer by applying direct heat from a hair dryer to the parts of the shoe that the dancer wants to adjust.

The special paste becomes pliable once heated, allowing the dancer to work the shoes to their liking by bending with their hand or walking gently around the studio. Once satisfied the dancer simply places the molded shoes into their fridge over night and the paste will set hard like a new pair of shoes, ready for use, tailored to the individual dancer's needs. The shoes can also be placed in the fridge after heavy sessions so that they return to "as new condition", prolonging the life of the shoe.

Gone are the days of having to go through the pain of wearing your hard new shoes for days on end until they eventually soften to the dancers liking. The new BMorph will be perfectly suited to each individual dancers liking within one day.

The BMorph also comes with a new plastic insole that is virtually unbreakable, which provides additional support for the dancer.

BALANCE

Balance

The new shape on this shoe closely mimics the natural contours of the foot significantly improving injury prevention. The low profile increases the amount of surface area that is in direct contact with the foot, improving weight distribution and reducing pressure on individual metarsal.

The new width given to the Balance will also give the toes more room, reducing the displacement of the big toe joint and the development of bunions. Significantly the insole shape conforms to the arch providing a higher level of support for the ankle joint and surrounding tendons.

The improved fit of the Balance pointe allows the shoe to move inline with the dancer, increasing the dancer's control of the shoe. The dancer can be sure the shoe will work with them, complementing their technique.

The wide toe provides a strong balancing platform which has an unlimited amount of performance benefits as well as enhanced ankle support that transfers through to the knee and hip joints.

SIGNATURE REHEARSAL

Signature Rehearsal

This shoes paste moulds itself to the dancer's moist foot and is also responsible for a large reduction in noise on the floor. The platform is as high as it is wide and provides for both forward and lateral balance. The box is shaped for a perfect aesthetic and balanced platform. The platform is as high as it is wide, which provides for both forward and lateral balance. The difference between the Signature Performance and Signature Rehearsal is the shank. The Rehearsal has a red board body with a leather board centerpiece.

SONATA

Sonata

This shoe has a tapered heel for a snug fit. The platform is wide and tall which makes it a great balancing shoe.

The box is slightly shorter, to allow for an easier demi-pointe. The box also contains a cushion within the pleats to cut down on noise and a sponge inside the toe at the platform for extra comfort and protection.

The shank is made up of a 6-iron board and leather board centerpiece. The leather board is malleable and less likely to "snap" when broken. Another difference in the shank is that it contains no tack or glue on the heel. This allows the shank to bend easier at 3/4, reducing the pressure on itself and the shoe, resulting in the dancer being supported high and straight under the arch without having to fight to get there.

SUPRIMA

Suprima

The Suprima pointe shoe has a streamline shape and is suited to a dancer with a narrow foot. The last itself is narrow and tapered which also allows for a snug fit on the heel. The Suprima has the smallest platform and the most tapered box of all the Bloch pointe shoes. These two features give an aesthetically pleasing finish to the leg line. The shank is made with a 5-iron board body, and a 3-iron board centerpiece.
