Karen Cockburn Named Ontario Female Athlete of The Year!



Karen Cockburn was honoured as Female Athlete of the Year while at the Ontario Sport Awards on March 26th in Toronto.
 Karen, who won her third straight Olympic medal (silver) last summer in Beijing, has been coached by Ross since she took up the sport at the Skyriders Trampoline Place in Richmond Hill, Ont.
"I've been nominated three times before for this award but this is the first time I've won, so it was a real thrill," said Karen.
"It was a really exciting night, not just for me but for Jason and Dave, and our club."
Karen paid tribute to Ross for guiding her from the time she was 11 years old and just beginning her record-breaking career.
"Dave has just had a huge impact on me as an athlete and as a person. I never would have gone as far as I did in the sport without his support. It was great to see him win the award as Coach of the Year."
